Rules are obligations to follow for coexistence with others. We want our communities to be as welcoming as possible for everyone.
Regulations
We believe that good regulations are always important to avoid falling into anarchy.
1 - Behavior with Other Users
A - Offenses, Insults, and Discrimination
In the presence of the offended party
Offenses will be punished if the offended user requests it from a moderator or if the moderator considers it particularly serious.
Not in the presence of the offended party, in cases of discrimination or racism
Offenses will be severely punished as deemed appropriate by the moderator.
B - Propaganda
Propaganda of any kind (e.g., political, religious, community-related) is prohibited. Our community is not, and we do not want it to be, a recruitment center.
2 - Behavior with Staff
A - Impersonation
Do not pretend to be a staff member if you are not one. Help is always welcome, and if you want to assist members, you can, but remember to respect your position.
Applications are always open to the public.
B - Interfering with Staff
The staff has a specific task, and they must complete it. If a moderator is warning or punishing a user or managing a tense situation, do not interfere. Depending on the case, interference may result in a warning or suspension if repeated.
3 - General Behavior
A - Disturbance of Peace
Any action aimed at disturbing the peace will be punished with a suspension.
Such actions include but are not limited to:
- Spam
- Flooding
- Trolling
B - Sensitive Content
Dissemination of adult content is prohibited except in designated areas marked with NSFW tags. Content may include text, images, videos (including streaming or webcam content), or links to external sites.
Restricted content includes nudity, sexual material, extreme violence, and any other disturbing content.
This category also includes suggesting or displaying harmful behaviors.
Content in NSFW-marked areas is not restricted or limited (unless illegal). It is up to the user to avoid viewing such content if they believe it may be disturbing.
C - Restricted Words
We do not wish to exclude Venetians from our community.
Using vulgar language is allowed as long as other rules are respected and it is not excessive.
We will not define the limit of what is considered excessive, leaving the choice to the individual. Punishments may vary depending on the moderator’s decision.
4 - Your Rights
A - Appeal
Each user has the right to 3 appeals for any moderation action taken against them. Appeals can be requested via an administration ticket or by contacting a Coordinator through direct messages.
The 3 appeal levels are:
- Level 1: Review with the original moderator to reassess the situation and potentially change the judgment.
- Level 2: Review with a different member of the Head Staff to reevaluate everything.
- Level 3: Review with a member of the Administration Council to verify validity and decide whether to annul the measure. Authorization during a Level 2 appeal is required to reach this level.
If an unjust act is found following an appeal or during a staff report review, and the moderator’s intent to commit the act can be proven, they will be punished.
B - Knowledge
Knowing where one has made a mistake is often important. Therefore, users always have the right to be informed of the reason for any moderation action.
5 - Internal Affairs
To prevent unjust moderation actions, laziness, misconduct, or abuse of power by anyone (including staff), a group of people has been established to investigate these matters.
Internal affairs reviews override certain rights:
- Only one appeal, directly to the AC.
- No right to know the reason for a decision.
